It is very difficult to keep a straight face, when you watch a stock go from the low 40's to 65 and back into the 40's off of numbers like that...run up or no run up, selling on news, say what you will this is just good old fashion manipulation, and we have seen this story a 100 times. Pretty darn impressive 2 million shares yesterday and down 7pts. WHAT A JOKE>>>

GNET has become an "earnings play", period

two of the biggest runs that Go2net took in 1999 were not related to earnings. (four earnings reports)

1. Hasbro announcement in December.
2. Paul Allen Investment.

-- you never know when anything will be announced. What you do know is the performance of the company. This company is a baby at three years old. My personal view is where will the company be in ten years from now ?

It is interesting to focus on trading opportunities along the way (earnings/splits), but holding a long position and forgetting about respect or any kind of manipulation is something I must do at all times with Go2net. Simply put, you just never know. If I could have bought Microsoft in 1980 when they were a baby or Intel in the 70's, Compaq, etc... of course I would have.

Go2net may be one of these next wave of companies moving into the information revolution. People would argue, AOL, YHOO. It very rarely is the first mover that makes it to the top in a period of innovation and market acceptance. The internet is still at least a few years from mainstream acceptance throughout the world. There is still plenty of game left to be played. I honestly like Go2net's chances.
