"..i-mode is a service that actually exists.."
----------

Mucho,

I-Mode is NTT's proprietary information and communications service, that, by the way, does not use WAP. Competitors include, or will include INSP, IIIM, INKT, YHOO, etc., etc. I-Mode spells high margin, value added services for NTT in spades. NTT hopes to make it the global information/communications service standard.

NTT's I-Mode presently runs at less than 10 KBS. DDI/IDO will run a competing, updated and redesigned in/comm service at CDMA1x speeds by the time NTT plans its wCDMA rollout. It is now known that IDO (soon to be part of DDI) is beginning HDR trials.

This is what I mean by "upping the ante" on NTT, making a seamless, problem-free NTT rollout in May even more critical in maintaining I-Mode's popularity and dominant market share - as it faces the prospects of competing against HDR speeds later in the year.

regards,
blg

MM...I am still a little rough on my understanding of the i-mode thing. How fast is it and where does it exactly fit in comparison with the CDMA model?

Anybody wanna play TA?

Let's see how I do.
QCOM looks weak today. I say we get closer to $60 than we are right now, but that is as low as she can go...because I think $60 is setting up to be a nice upward moving baseline.

GSTRF. Pull back from recent run but MACD is positive for the first time (thanks Spreck). If it can hold $9 I think we could be in for another rally and maybe take out the previous $12 1/4 mark. If not...we start to retest some lows in there.
