attaching a value to the heritage of the West, Sounds good, but it doesn't explain the policy divides between liberal and conservative factions. Take for example the campaigns over the so called death tax. Why would conservatives want to encourage a multi-generational concentration of wealth and power if there was a value to democratic capitalism. Sounds more like valuing the medeval feudal societies of the West to me. I'm proud of my heritage which is Western, but was pagan before that. I also understand that you and me and the fish in the sea are all products of 4 billion years of evolution and we haven't reached the final stage yet. TP
