Sounds like SW2000 has some nice capabilities ...

1) registry sweep (unused entries)

This is one tough job. Register keys multiply like bunny rabbits on Viagara (With plenty of chocolate for persuasion)

2) duplicate file finder

My NU has this feature, but I find it just checks names, sizes, and datestamps, causing it to report some false positives.

3) redundant DLL finder (duplicate DLL & VBX files)

Does this cover unused as well as duplicates? I'd hope it does, but I don't know.

4) unused file types (files not often used, you pick the time-frame)

This looks interesting ... However, I do plenty of year-end stuff and consequently have a number of once-per-year used files I'd hate to lose when I'm experiencing a 'senior moment'.

5) orphan finder (files and items left behind by programs)

This could be worth its weight in gold.

Thanks for the peek at this package. Looks like a winner.

Cheers, PW.
