<MELBOURNE, Australia, July 19 /PRNewswire/ - Telstra and Nortel Networks (NYSE/TSE: NT) have demonstrated Australia's first 144 kilobits per second (kbps) wireless web browsing, video and remote file transfers over a live 800 MHz cdma2000 network as part of their high speed data trials.> Same as Telecom New Zealand will be doing [in the network they are now building - Lucent has the contract]. I can't wait for next July when they start service. Telecom has spectrum coming out their ears. They decided not to expand their TDMA, canceling a contract [$300M] in favour of CDMA. That has implications for AT&T and their TDMA network which is like a giant albatross around their neck. Mq
