DCGN Interesting post from raging bull Ya I´m Icelandic alright, and proud of it toooooo. We do love this company here in Iceland. The whole nation went upside down when Kári came to Iceland after years at Harvard as a professor with the script of his idea. We have a biotech company with this uniqe database of medical reccords counting back a 100 years or more, all available for DeCode to exploit, not to mention our Sagas that we can read back for many centuries, mentioning all kind of illnesses. By the way our language and writings has not changed significantly over centuries. Also the genetic pool of Icelandic people are relatively pure caused by the isolation of the country through the centuries. Kári Stefánsson, CEO is a strong leader and after having experienced his skills, both as a scientist and CEO, I have no worries about DeCode for years to come. The man is simply brilliant in every way, and we do not see his kind to often. Further more he has build up a fantastic team of top professionals that makes this company first among equals. I bought in at 26 and I´m going to hold this one for ever. In my oppinion the financial world is going to put DCGN in the front row, realizing its potentials, great management team, powerful allianzes like Hoffman Laroch, among the best equiped labratory´s in the world, and lastly but not last DATABASE OVER A WHOLE NATION Best regards, Addi. And another... deCODE has a clear advantage when it comes to the poulations they are mining. MYGN uses a mormon population in Utah which is not as homogenous, has not been as isolated, and is not as well documented. The mormon Population only dates back a 150 or so years. Icelandic Population dates back 900 years
