FWIW, this may just be a matter of semantics, i.e. fastest "sampling" 16-bit ADC, but it looks to me like ADI can not claim the fastest title just yet:

DataPath Systems presents its first in the series of high speed data converter products. The DPS9245 is the industry's FASTEST 16-bit ADC with a sampling rate of 5 MSamples/sec. The combination of an integrated, on-chip low noise programmable gain amplifier (PGA), sample and hold function and internal reference makes the DPS9245 a self-contained data acquisition sub-system.

The high level of integration, greater than 1 k input impedance of the PGA, simple initialization and 16-bit parallel output interface synchronized to the sampling clock makes the DPS9245 very user friendly.

This versatile CMOS ADC has low power dissipation of 475 mW at the highest sampling rate. Other monolithic devices only provide a fraction of the performance at these power levels

Still an impressive device from ADI. Also, the Datapath part is just into the market, not sure if it is fully production ready.
