I was in Borders this afternoon and saw a huge book with GAAP across the spine, so I picked it up and read the appropriate chapter. It now seems to me that both rudedog and I could be right; the additional service could be either prepaid support or the activation +/- of additional copies of software already delivered under a bulk contract. I would guess that both probably pertain to Microsoft.
