I noticed that ALI is announcing a notebook chipset for the Athlon, but AMD doesn't have a notebook Athlon yet.
Right?

Maybe ALI is "leaking" a little.

I have seen you say this a few times and I think you will be in for a positive surprise. The issue in this case is not DRAM latency. It is about more streamlined chipset design. Also, the additional bandwidth will come in handy in a couple of benchmarks.
