Yes on that basis there's room to hope for better times. My point here is that one will have to be increasingly selective - some companies will thrive and others will fail.
And some companies are going to clean up - pick up the pieces.

Heinz, yeah the yen predictions were pretty wild, i remember one weekly in Japan had a headline that said
"1 yen = 1 dollar ? " and it was common to hear certain predictions of 50 yen to the dollar in the short term... It touched 79. something and turned right there ....
