John re <<I replied with a couple of albert's reports but I think this turd deserves some more email.>>

OK, done. This is what I wrote:

**********************

The estimate for AMD from the analyst was on the "no tax" basis. On that basis AMD earned $1.51 not $1.21.

Granted AMD did not communicate this to the street. As late as the first quarter conference call, AMD was saying "zero tax rate for Q2". Now they decided to pro rate their tax credit and have annual rate of 20%

Your report is factually inaccurate. Just listen to their conference call.

Not to worry...The "big boys" will figure it out for themselves tomorrow...just as they did for INTC today despite the glossy reporting...The numbers don't lie!!!

I sent michaelk@cnet an email about the untaxed estimates.

Perhaps we should ask Toni Beckham about this?

John:

There was also about $0.10 in Q1 pertaining to the sale of the property in Ireland, that could be stripped out before Q1 and Q2 are compared...Once again, the "big boys" with their coterie of analysts will figure this out for themselves...Look for some serious volume and strength tomorrow and Friday!!!
