First, I've read the last 20 posts, and the "amortize" idea is an assumption by the thread, based on nothing.

Second, it doesn't matter.

Face the fact of what AMD reported. Every profitable company in this country reports earning AFTER TAXES. Before taxes doesn't mean a thing, no one cares, because it's NOT EARNINGS.

And John P., a few posts back seems to think AMD can keep the tax money!
