The side blinkers are on all the new models. They look clear or white but blink yellow.

Hello unclewest! I hope all is well.

My curiosity got the best of me. Earlier this morning I emailed one of Cree's microwave product representatives. Remember, Cree just announced this list of representatives about a month ago maybe. I addressed it to one of the principals, I won't mention any names.

This gentleman called me back about 30 minutes after I sent the email and wondered what my interest in Cree was. I told him I was a stockholder and just wondering what kind of response he was getting concerning Cree's new SiC MESFET? He went on to say that they just got the product line but were very optimistic about it's potential.

I will list some highlights from my 20 minute conversation:

One OEM say they could eliminate a cooling fan if they convert to SiC MESFETs.

Design in period will take months, but he said make no mistake, they will close deals in the upcoming months.

He heard in a Cree presentation that approx. 60% of product manufacturing space will be used for RF/microwave products

Repeatedly mentioned SiC's heat dissipation qualities and the fact that Cree's hardness and overall robustness were big advantages. Stressed how expensive that GaAs devices were incomparison.

Mentioned base stations and MMDS (anyone know what MMDS is?)
as they big target they were going after.

The devices were very linear and test kit evalutations were all positive.

They will have a much better idea of the market place potential 6 months from now, but a lot of companies know about SiC and it's inherent advantages over Si and GaAs.

Of course I will follow up in a couple of months. It's funny, he was familiar with Cree also and talked about how volatile the stock was. Very pleasant fellow who was geniunely eager to talk about Cree. He also mentioned how professional everyone at Cree was and what an outstanding reputation Cree has in the industry.

Stock looks good today too!
