Paul,
Your,
"IBM also said AS/400 sales sucked as did MainFrames.

Thus, the INTEL NetFinity line must still be the GROWING SEGMENT in IBM's hardware business."

Great observation. I wonder how many IBM analysts took note.
Regards,
Jules

Paul, >"Web server revenues, led by advanced new high-end and mid-range models, grew strongly. "

IBM also said AS/400 sales sucked as did MainFrames.

Thus, the INTEL NetFinity line must still be the GROWING SEGMENT in IBM's hardware business.

Same-O Same-O, huh? Getting to be a habit with IBM that way. It's good for us as Intel stockholders, but not so good for IBM. The margins on their proprietary servers are pretty high, but the Intel standard servers are a very competitive market with the other big 3 of Compaq, HP and Dell. Low margin. Intel is in the catbird seat though, as sole source supplier to all of them.
