Hi Ian! For some reason, it appears to me that AMAT is approaching this "partnership" (alliance? date??) more cautiously than it has in other instances. Of course, those other instances were often direct buyouts. <grin> Either there's some indicators that the AMAT executives are leery of, or they don't really know quite what they want to do in the optical lithography arena. Me, I dunno. I think UTEK would be a good place to start, and I certainly can't see UTEK management resisting the lure of a marriage "above their station." But there's often the question of dowry.... Mitch
