The way things are going with Motorola, it looks like it will be 6-12 months before Apple comes out with a G4 that I'm willing to buy.

Yes, on the other hand it does make my purchase of one of the early G4s last September look good. I bought the low-end pre-speed-derailed 400MHz G4s for $1599 back after they were announced at Seybold almost a year ago.

Now, here we are 10 months later - with a brand new product refresh, and $1599 is STILL the low end price point for a 400Mhz G4 from Apple.

Meanwhile, $1599 will buy me twice the machine on the Intel side that it did a year ago.
