pomps: <<Any sign of a DDR chipset while I was roughing it in a four star resort?>>

I think I saw one late last week, floating down the Rio Tiete in Sao Paulo, right next to the dog carcasses..

I trust that you had a fine time at the 4 star, courtesy of the bus<ggg>.

INTC is delaying the Itanium, so no need for DDR this year. Besides, in your absence, scum has proclaimed that PC's will need only PC133 for the next 5 years. DDR, RDRAM, etc not required. How convenient. I have an old CPQ laptop, 66 Mhz, that I think I'll sell to him, along with some mail order chicken.

Pomp,

Any sign of a DDR chipset while I was roughing it in a four star resort?

It looks like you will have to wait until next week.

pomp,

First, it's nice to see you back.

Second, tell me who took care of pomp.

Third, the post Blake pointed to was just my highlight in the Intel cc.

Thought you'd also like this one.

In the Rambus cc Tate said, "The third way Rambus will win [1st way is increased demand for RDRAM, 2nd way is reduction in cost of RDRAM] is with our IP. We have 85 US patents. We believe that ANY high speed DRAM WILL INFRINGE on MANY of our patents."

But I highly recommend listening to the entire cc to hear Tate's confidence for yourself.

Otellini in the Intel cc is also worth hearing - and listen to the q&a.
