Warren, I also think the Merrill Lynch figure of 87billion does not include the 20billion or so due to ETEK deal.

That is why I think the stock will hold onto much of its gains even after its addition.
JDSU now moving from speculative high flier to more of a Cisco type. That will keep funds with large JDSU positions in the stock as it goes mainstream. In the past, I believe funds dumped it due to limits on the amount of their holdings of certain types of stocks.

A lot of institutions have sold it after the SDLI merger announcement. The selling that has already gone on in the past couple of weeks was unbelievable. THat means the speculative traders that were playing the S and P addition are already out. Remember all those stories about why the JDSU addition won't happen until the SDL deal closes. I guess the S and P wanted those types of speculators out of the stock and surprised everyone.

Imagine the number of sellers and short sellers that sold the stock thinking it will be in the "penalty box" until the deal closes.

I think we will be sitting at all time highs very soon.
