thank you for your explanation but it doesn't completely solve my problem. the filter pane already has colA > colB and it won't let me move it to another column and let me put the close and numbers you gave me in the filter.

i hope i have explained that properly.

thank you to all that helped.
this is what finally did work and hopefully this will help someone else in turn.

using the filter column the following was already there
ColA>ColB now it reads
ColA>ColB and C>=20 AND C<=75
