The JDSU for RAD swap has the potential to be highly disruptive for the index, given the huge rebalancing effort.

RAD had a cap of $10bn a few months ago, now down around $1.7 bn. I'd bet most managers underweighted it, or were out of it entirely. Rebalancing to include a $100bn cap would be a problem in the best of times, more as you count SDLI, even more when you consider the underweighting in RAD means the other 499 make a healthy contribution.

You can't ignore a JDSU, have to deal with it. Oh, and this is options expiration week, too, if you need a reason for turbulence. Hang on, fasten seat belts.
