IMO the odds are distinctly less than 50-50 that current MRVC shareholders will be allotted any Luminent shares at the IPO price. This is rarely done in these circumstances.

Whether the company will eventually spin off the rest of Luminent to shareholders is another issue entirely and is up for grabs.

unfortunately, i'd guess shareholders will likely get little to none of the ipo's.... as far as massive sellling on that news, i don't think so. you have to figure shareholders will be rewarded through MRV's increased valuation. i hope i'm wrong. but if forced to bet, i'd likely bet against it.
