Hi Earlie; Re RDRAM performance... Just looking at the bandwidth figures is enough to tell you that you don't need RDRAM speeds. Until Intel speeds up their FSB the whole game is latency. After they do speed up the bus, latency will still be most of the game, (as it always has).

The real story is the patent situation, which has put RMBS in the stratosphere, but is not enough to revive RDRAM. The recent revelations about the nature of Intel's agreement with Rambus are fascinating.
