Rod... Word is that a PRICE WAR IS COMING between Intel and AMD because they both had strong earnings. Fear is that a price war will hurt AMD more... thus the selling activity and falling in price of AMD stock.

So why is AMD trading down 4 11/16 (a little before 10 AM)?

Perhaps a bit of buy on rumor sell on news (although AMD didn't have a big run up to earnings). I was tempted by the cheap price and picked up 5 Jul 90s for 1 1/8. (I wasn't at a computer when they hit there low of 3/4).
