I'm not an expert on AMD's roll out plans but understand that 2-way will be out by August. I don't know about 4 or 8 way. Intel has never had competition at all in the X86/Pentium processor arena for anything except single processor systems.

Intel is a fine company and both Intel and AMD suffer from lower valuations relative to most other semi companies. I'm not at all trying to argue that for AMD to succeed that INTC must go down significantly (or vice versa). Maybe both these firms will get a little more respect from the investment community as they continue to turn in stable growth and profits. Wouldn't it be nice if they had 1/2 the valuations given to some of the darling telecom stocks!
