Yes, install is much more complicated since the CATV line state must be addressed. Once that is done if further problems arise, it's fairly easy for another tech to build on what a previous competent tech has done. As for the customer feeling more comfortably if they can install it begs the question. The problem isn't at the ATHM level or if the customer attributes the problem to ATHM, then there has been a failure of communication which can be addressed by a tech during a truck roll. To say a customer would be more comfortable if they can install also skirts around the problem that 99% of them including you can't install. You proceed by making an assumption that is not valid. Att has discovered that much of the already done installations are needing further upgrade for a variety of reasons. This is costing Att plenty, but they are getting more efficient and they have built on their knowledge of how to do it right the first time reducing the probability of a second time. Att is also installing telephony equipment incidentally so that they are piggy backing on a given roll.
