A filter is placed on the cable, that is all! It is precisely this assumption made by the first wave of installation that is part of the reason necessitating another roll. There is so much more required that the band aid you suggest unless doubted by the next technician, can send a technician on a wild goose chase consuming much time and resolving nothing. You're talking through your hat. Unless you have direct experience with DROP DOWN problems, you're just blowing lots of hot air.
