What do you mean professional installation assumes there is a problem from the start? It eliminates the possibility of two rolls later. The problem is that the existing CATV system was not designed with this application in mind. Say you, through your kit, do the install and you have no problems. You can't take this and extrapolate it onto others and the people who do this end up pulling Att out repeatedly. Observing that over and over in the field was what convinced me to not attempt my own diagnosis with the problems that arose at my site. I did assist a very skilled tech and the both of us figured out the problem which I would have had a difficult time doing on my own. My service worked fine for six months and then started inexplicably having problems. Things change. I wish that I had professional installation from the start.
