niceguy,

The "more established and respected company" that I was talking about was one with steady, predictable earnings, quarter after quarter after quarter.

My unsolicited opinion on AMD, and it's stock price. I think the huge growth that you saw in the fourth and first quarter are over with. I think, going forward, AMD can grow plus or minus a few percentage point of the industry, if they can execute. Right now AMD is selling at a significant PE discount to the market, and I think that's because the street still perceives that these last three quarters might be a flash in the pan.

I don't think AMD will have or needs to have huge revenue or earnings growth for their stock price to appreciate. I think that if they can continue to post good dependable earnings, the street will continually raise the PE. JMHO, I'm sure many disagree, and think that AMD will take market share from Intel forever.

Good luck,

John
