Hello Haim....I view the LU problems as more specific to them versus affecting the industry as a whole. CEO McGinn came clean and admitted that Ericsson is taking some major market share from them and others in the wireless area. In many ways I think Lucent is a victim of its own size (the dinosaur effect) and other smaller companies with more emergent technologies that are more nimble are making significant inroads. Plus McGinn admits to making a major stumble by not making the transition into fiber optics quickly enough. CEO will be on at 3:10 EST.

Haim, CSCO has a far better approach to the integration of new employees. they are welcomed, plugged into corporate and it is business as usual. they have been fortunate to have their valuation reach extremes, delaying the exit of mostly vested employees. It will be interesting to see what the exit rate becomes as the stock price stagnates for 6-12 months. tp
