Royalty from IP cannot come out of thin air. There's some R&D that went on in the past to create the IP in the first place. It also means that new R&D has to carry on to create further IP's to generate future royalties.

There's much weaker companies that don't even have anywhere near the operating revenue of sndk trading at much higher valuations.

On the other hand, everyone seems to know about sndk (if not in detail), so this company is not exactly an undiscovered gem.

Still, I only need to look at my nikon 950 & 990 to get at least a good feel that there is some inherent worth in SNDK from their 96MB+ CF business alone. Everytime I hold a CF cartridge in my hand, I think about sndk.

edit: I see as I type that it has finally recrossed 70. That 68-69 took FOREVER to crack. :) Let's see what happens next.
