I would replace Him or It with a God, Power Source or Force that: Is not limited by human qualities such as: fatigue--physical, mental, and emotional weariness; Is accepting, partial, and sympathetic to all people--not simply to His own family ; Is not limited by a human body (the smoke in the nostrils and horns in the hands is not enough of a departure for me); Does not take such a pathetic joy in the smell of burning bodies; Is sympathetic and compassionate towards the frailties and mistakes of humans, and treats of them with LOVE and encouragement; Does not hate all woman and children; Does not aid and abet the use of slavery; Does not make so many mistakes, forcing himself to rethink decisions, plans, and goals; Does not fly into incredible fits of rage which he normally attempts to expiate with the sudden slaughter and torture of thousands of people; Does not torture individuals in order to see what will happen or what they will do; Does not force people to eat dung; Does not have crisis of self esteem any time he suspects that not everyone likes him (I would not have liked his behaviour, either), after which he generally flies into a murderous rage and goes on a killing spree; Does not have an IQ far beneath most humans; Does not believe the sun revolves around the Earth; Does not believe the Earth is flat; Does not author books about himself with contradictory history, and absurd, impossible acts; Does not have a criminal character and a psychotic personality. Well, you get the picture, I guess. I would replace God with the True Force and Source of Power and Goodness in the Universe--the Power Source behind Life and Consciousness. I do not know where that Force begins or ends; but I see it in others and I feel it in myself. That is a start. I will not worship a crippled beast; a beast that demonstrates more EVIL than this planet has ever known (aside from other anthropomorphic contemporaries) . What would you replace Him with?
