Speaking of horsefeathers,
have we heard from Croc about the speech-- was it last night?

Yes it was...

I am very curious to know how it went-- I hope she pounded on the podium and got them all riled up and then said something truly devastating to them, something that made the Evil Ones hang their collective heads in shame, and the undecideds leap up crying,"YES! HANG THE BASTARDS!"

Well, I didn't quite "pound" on the podium... but yes... I think there were a couple of Evil Ones hanging their heads... perhaps not in shame, but perhaps slightly humbled by having their Belief Systems called into question and exposed as being not entirely devoid of holes....

ANd then Croc with her impeccable timing would have shaken her head at the Evil Ones and said meaningfully, pityingly, "Horsefeathers" and walked out.

Well, actually, the Croc had the opportunity to smile (ever so slightly) in her rather sardonic manner, after listening to interesting "accounts" from audience members...and especially after hearing a few foot-in-mouth replies from those who should have known better....

All in all, it turned out well... and I think the repercussions of that night will be many and perhaps very far-reaching indeed.

Horsefeathers? What's with that? did we run out of bird puns? Horses don't have feathers! I mean, everybody know that horses don't have feathers!

Bon voyage. Hope its a good one . . .catch you on your return.

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me...

Since no one else is going to say it, I will.

I celebrated Moon Day yesterday. Asked lots of the secretaries on my route if they knew what had happened on July 20, 1969. I got a few "Woodstocks?". But mostly "I was only (3, 5, 7) then, I dunno." Sheesh.
