Dark Fiber Agreements Can someone help me understand exactly what they are selling in these agreements? For example, the news release states: [lvlt]will sell CoreExpress 23,000 miles of fiber in its network backbone. Dark fiber is fiber that has been installed, but without the necessary electronics to transmit information through the fiber. quicken.excite.com I was under the impression that Lvlt was going to create bandwidth and lease its use, but not totally turn over control to a 3rd party. Is this agreement a lease? Or does Lvlt loose control over these fibers? Please help the stupid . . . wopr
