AMD's move 'inappropriate'
--2:38 pm - By Tomi Kilgore
In a midday research note, Analyst Richard Whittington at Banc of America said the market reaction to Advanced Micro Device's (AMD: news, msgs) second-quarter report (see 10:06 item) is "highly inappropriate" in his opinion. He believes the chip company should continue to "materially" top estimates and that the stock was cheaply valued. AMD is now down 5 7/16 at 84 13/16.>>>

Petz, Re: Maxpain Modification

My brain is a little mushy today (up too late last night listening to CC & reading messages) so I may need some help with implementing your suggestion.

So, if AMD@80 then 40 Call values should be *-1 or should I make them zero? There are not a lot of calls in the lower range so this would not seem to be a big factor. However, I am a numbers nut and curious to see. Please confirm the adjustment and it will be made.

Petz,

I agree that classic max pain analysis is not accurate.

However it does show a trend that there will be sales pressure.

Looks like 85 may be battleground.
