Unfortunately, no timeline for a product was given in the PR, but it sounds really interesting. I believe that the current SHARC DSP family uses a licensed SRAM cell from privately held Mosys.
Lots of companies also license this technology since the number of transistors is minimized in their SRAM architecture.
DRAM that looks like SRAM from the outside will be smaller and less power hungry for the same amount of storage. Take that TXN!
