OT About LU. I was in love with this company earlier this year after reading the Morgan Stanley report on the coming revolution in optical infrastructure. It seemed from the report that LU had their hands in almost every pot. I bought in and several weeks later read a disturbing news story about many of their key people in their optics lab leaving the company. Call me a "weak hand" but I dumped my shares soon after reading this bulletin. You don't always have time to let the full story come out. I felt this was a really bad sign since I was counting on them having success in this particular area.

I'm damn happy I did that! Now I figure maybe JDSU can ultimately eat their lunch and dinner.

"LU/T culture"

They're called "BellHeads", and it only takes a single one to suck every single atom of rationality out of a room.

(Take it from someone who, sad to say, knows.)

On a happier note, I'm hopeful that in ten years, we'll all be seeing tidbits for JDSU and NTAP like we now see for CSCO - you know the ones - "If you bought $1,000 of CSCO ten years ago, it would be worth $ 785,310.73".
