Great earnings report for AOL. Seasonality a factor for the one thing that ended a little slower - usage. Let's see what it does after the halt.

AOL opened down 2 1/2. Fred Moran of Jefferies went over the earnings report on CNBC. He mentioned that this downturn is no big deal after AOL has gone up with Yhoo in the last week.

Hourly usage and subscriber increase was down for this quarter but it was still higher than in the same quarter a year ago. F.Moran called this a positive and good in the seasonal slow quarter.

When asked if all those long term buys by brokerages are justified he answered with a strong yes. He mentioned that AOL and TWX have to overcome some regulatory scrutiny before the merger.

Jefferies target price for AOL is 110 and he sees AOL going to 100 plus within 6 to 12 mos.

I guess we will hear more after the CC.

DIS is doing a lot of mouthing off again about the AOL and TWX merger. I would like to say something about this but I bought my grandchildren some DIS stock a while ago, so I will refrain. gg.
