"An updated lôôk back to hard times in the past when LUCY was this low....including todays (7/24/2000) closing low of 50 1/4....
2/9/1999 = 96 (split adjusted = 48)
2/12/1999 = 96 1/4 (split adjusted = 48 1/8)
2/17/1999 = 96 1/4 (split adjusted = 48 1/8)
3/24/1999 = 98 1/2 (split adjusted = 49 1/4)
1/6/2000 = 52
1/18/2000 = 50 9/16
1/19/2000 = 51 7/16
2/16/2000 = 52 1/8
2/17/2000 = 53 1/2
2/18/2000 = 52 1/4
2/22/2000 = 52 3/4
2/23/2000 = 52 7/8
4/13/2000 = 53 1/2
4/14/2000 = 52
5/24/2000 = 53 1/2
5/25/2000 = 52 1/5
7/24/2000 = 50 1/4"...

I really was hoping for just the slightest up^ tic today, just a quarter of a point would have been fine. Todays close puts us back lower than we were on January 18 of this year. I hope they're done now and we don't get clipped tomorrow!...

As for seeing it at 100 somewhere in the future...well, I don't care to tell the person who posted that bit of optimism...just how many times a statement like that with that share price as a goal has been posted on this thread in the past 12 months, which includes the time prior to that infamous day on January 6 of this year when LUCENT warned, and the time since then which includes a couple of ups^^^ which didn't hold, knocked down once by a counterfeit post in a Yahoo chat room and now by the company's earnings announcement.

If you bought in back on March 24, 1999 at a split adjusted price of 49 1/4, and you're lôôking at a gain of $2 a share in that time frame, you might be wishing you'd have put your money in a good CD paying maybe 6% back then, or better yet, bought the same amount of Nortel instead......ANON
