Mani,

re:"I strongly disagree. I think this is the biggest myth in the investment world. It has happened in the past, some analyst have said it and now all the sudden it is the "law"!

There is not nearly enough history in the semi's to suggest this, at most we have 3 cycles. And each have had its own characteristics. If Asian crisis had not happened, there may not have been a down cycle."

Are you seriously suggesting that semi equipment suppliers will not have a serious down turn at some point.

As you know capital equipment is first thing that gets chopped at a semi company.

So when we have excess wafer capacity we will have a fairly rapid downturn.

And at that point equipment guys come to a grinding halt.

It has happened before and will happen again.

And at some point the cycle will turn.

There has never been a harmonious supply/demand situation that i have ever seen in my 20 yrs in the industry.

And we don't have it today.

Currently we have a severe undersupply and have had one for a while.

Guess what comes next.

regards,

Kash
