Dave, you're right as rain. That solved the problem completely and ended several frustrating days. Thanks very much for your help and thank you all for your input.

BTW, there is a option you can choose to "change all charts in a layout" which is located under the Options tab in the "Choose Security" dialog box. I'd been doing this manually which is a pain. So thanks again Dave. You've saved me a lot of time.
