Ha! Ha! There's nothing like an investor with a sense of humor.

Sorry if the words Anti Trust push your buttons PE, as it certainly wasn't my intent. I see no reason why it should bother you of all people.

It certainly doesn't bother INTC to discuss such matters. I assume they discussed it for quite some time before "giving" away all that cash to these "foreigners" to open this Pandora's Bus in the first place.

At least I hope they would have considered it, but I suppose when you have more money than you know what to do with you get a new perspective on old priorities.

Or perhaps there's just a disconnect on this "giving away" of IP paranoia of yours. I will go back and check, but I thought my question was referencing a "locking out" rather than a "giving away". Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the "tone" of the press blurbs I read from INTC infer to me that:

a) They are unwilling to license their technology to VIA for systems that connect to AMD; and

b) They are unwilling to license VIA for DDR/SDRAM connections to future generations of their CPU's.

If you are saying that INTC is willing but VIA won't agree to pay, then I say you're right "Hang all the Un-American Foreigners", ...and take all the former Foreigners that aren't paying me squat for my IP while you're at it!

But if you're not saying that INTC is willing to grant a license in at least one of these areas to whoever wants one, foreign or not, then the question remains why doesn't such action get the "Anti Trust" treatment?
