After July 25, the action may get more interesting. I discovered after going long exfo that I had a margin call because I bought 10% more than the amount of available cash. The stock will become fully marginable towards the end of this month.

The IPO only offered 7,000,000 "subordinate voting shares," and if these become in high demand we may see SDLI-like price movement.

Those interested in becoming long termers might want to find out more about Germain Lamonde - whose salary and bonus was $125,000 from EXFO in 1999.

Prior to the offering Mr. Lamonde held 99.8% of the voting power. Now, after the offering he's down to 98.0% with his 38,000,000 "multiple voting shares."

Here we are, 15 minutes prior to the opening. Nasdaq up 50 on globex. Tollgrade, SDL, Newport, JDSU all called higher.

EXFO though looks to open 3 lower.

The reason? Probably the new Merrill Lynch coverage, initiating coverage as ACCUUMULATE. Perhaps the consensus was expecting STRONG BUY??
