Milo, I think we are making way too much of this option thingy. There is interest on both side of the option. AMD went down because it did. It may have to do a little with the options, but I doubt it. Over the past few months AMD is hurting because the ASP on the K6 is so low since it is not really competitive with Celeron and since the chipset/MB situation has been slow to develop, the replacement for it (Duron) has not arrived yet. It will come, late, but it will get here. Mani

Allot of open interest at 80" Comment: I don't doubt the potential of any outcome after yesterday's freak event...I do expect AMD to close within half a point of exercise price so that options tied to that price will die a natural death (i.e. not be exercised)...(and yes I'm very skeptical about the nature of the underlying market forces)...I would expect a close within $0.50 of $80, $85 or $90 today as well within the realm of the possible today...My guess is AMD'll close at $85 +/- $0.50...and be nowhere near $85 by the end of next week...
