Here's a giggle. Remember when The Reliably Fatuous Jim Seymour bashed SUNW last week as he reviewed his own list of picks for 2000 on TheStreet.com (if not, it's reproduced in #reply-14039508 )? Well today, after earnings, he wrote this during an online chat:

mfc333-guest says: SUNW just blew away earnings estimates (39 cents/share vs. estimate of 33 cents). To what extent do you think the company is vulnerable to competition from IBM, HP, etc. in the coming months?

Jim_Seymour: Boy, wasn't that a GREAT quarter?! SUNW is roaring. I don't think they're "forever invulnerable" -- NO one is -- but with Scott McNealy's reinvention of the company, they're getting set for a bright future. I'm VERY high on the "new" SUNW
....

He's high on something all right<g>.
