CrossKeys to Offer Carrier-class Service Assurance
Capabilities for Intelligent Optical Networks:

Powerful software will bring necessary tools to guarantee
network performance to customers

VIENNA, VA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 2000-- CrossKeys Systems Corporation (NASDAQ:CKEY -
news; TSE:CKY. - news) today announced that it is a member of the Sycamore SILVX(TM) Partner Program,
enabling customers to harness carrier-class performance management capabilities across their optical
network.

CrossKeys Resolve® software will interface with the SILVX Optical Network Management System (ONMS),
giving service providers the necessary tools to guarantee network performance to customers. This means that
service providers are able to provide service assurance to their customers because they have a complete view of
services being offered, and how the network is performing. CrossKeys Resolve brings these two views together to
allow an integrated approach to performance management.

``Carriers and service providers need management solutions that are reliable and scalable in order to be able to
offer differentiated services to their customers,'' says Mike Anderson, Director of Product Management,
Sycamore. ``With the SILVX ONMS, and integrated performance management software from CrossKeys,
together we can now offer customers a robust set of service solutions that will increase operational efficiencies
and time to revenue.''

Data will be extracted from end-to-end sources, warehoused, and analyzed, so service providers can make
better decisions about new services to offer, and where additional capacity needs to be added.

The partnership will allow service providers to:

* improve customer satisfaction by providing what the customer wants

* rapidly deploy new competitive services to meet emerging needs

* improve strategic relationships with customers

* reduce opportunity for billing disputes, and

* optimize network resources.

``Through the inclusion of the CrossKeys Resolve software in the SILVX Partner Program, service providers
have the power to quickly deliver and manage new services without interrupting existing service levels,'' says
Ian McLaren, President and CEO, CrossKeys. ``Service providers will be able to provide an enhanced level of
performance that will allow them closer relationships with existing customers, and to attract new customers.''

CrossKeys Resolve integrates multi-vendor, multi-technology environments to present a seamless view of the
network - from end-to-end. CrossKeys Resolve enables customers to proactively manage network inventory,
and identify potential problems before they occur. Flexible reporting allows the provider to tailor reports to
their business needs. With threshold and baseline reporting, the root of network problems is easily identified,
reducing the time and cost of troubleshooting.

The SILVX Partner Program focuses on providing best-of-breed managed service applications to carriers and
service providers. This program enables carriers and service providers to deploy a comprehensive and
integrated suite of manageable services from the optical domain to balance the demands of differentiation
with the demands of rapid time to revenue. For more information about the SILVX Partner Program, go to

Sycamore Networks Introduces SILVX Partner Program to
Bring Best-of-Breed Integrated Service Solutions for
Intelligent Optical Networks

Focused on optical service management, the first program partners,
Syndesis and CrossKeys offer integrated service provisioning and
service assurance capabilities

Mon, July 24 2000

Chelmsford, MA - Sycamore Networks (NASDAQ: SCMR), a
leader in intelligent optical networking, today
announced the SILVXTM Partner Program - a program that
brings together best-of-breed integrated service
solutions from a focused set of partners, enabling
carriers and service providers to quickly deploy
revenue generating services directly from the optical
network.

SILVXTM Optical Network Management System (ONMS) will
now offer enhanced solutions with additional
functionality from Syndesis, a leading provider of
automated service provisioning software, and
CrossKeys, a carrier-scale service assurance and
network performance application provider. The SILVX
Partner Program will enable carriers and service
providers to provide differentiated services, operate
more efficiently and generate additional revenue.

?Carriers and service providers require a
comprehensive optical management and service delivery
system that will both integrate easily into their
existing Operations Support System (OSS), all while
enabling them to set-up and tear down services quickly
and cost effectively,? said Deb Mielke, Principal
analyst with Treillage Network Strategies. ?With
Sycamore?s SILVX ONMS and third-party applications,
carriers and service providers can quickly create and
implement differentiated services and generate revenue
faster than ever before.?

SILVX ONMS provides for the management of third party
products and integrates easily with other OSS? when
introduced into an existing network environment. SILVX
ONMS offers a robust suite of service solutions when
integrated with the NetProvisionTM software suite from
Syndesis and CrossKeys Resolve®, the service assurance
and network performance software from CrossKeys.
The
complimentary services are unmatched in the industry
and offer a portfolio of optical service management
tools for carriers who want service differentiation
and rapid revenue generation without the need for
labor- intensive custom development.

SILVX Partner Program

The power to keep a customer at a pre-defined service
level without interrupting their service as a network,
promotes the ultimate scalability as carriers or
service providers expand their customer base and
service offerings. Enhancing the current point-and-
click provisioning competencies offered on the SN
8000TM transport and SN 16000TM switching platforms,
SILVX ONMS with integrated automated provisioning
software from Syndesis, offers additional levels of
visibility and control into the service provisioning
process. These combined applications offer a greater
level of point-and-click provisioning in
multi-technology hybrid architectures while providing
a deeper view for network deployment and
synchronization.

Carriers and service providers wanting a performance
view of both the network and services in and across
their environment, can now get a superior level of
performance management using SILVX ONMS and integrated
software from CrossKeys. This application has an
advanced service model that allows for a correlated
view of the network with customer subscribed services,
enabling service providers to map network and services
performance management to end customers and integrate
this information within a service provider?s larger
OSS environment.

Sycamore will continue to enhance SILVX ONMS through
its strategic partnerships in the SILVX Partner
Program and bring best-of-breed, carrier class
solutions to meet the needs of our diverse customer
base. The service provisioning and performance
management applications will be available in Q4 2000
and pricing depends upon configuration of the network.

Nobody seems to care about this recent 100% + surge
in less than a month. (I do :) )
Volume is there more than ever before.
Fans of TA: when is this considered a breakout ? How does it look from a TA perspective ?

From a Fundamental point of view, this co.'s is still OK compared to others in Network Management.

Company Price/Sales (Source: Yahoo)
PRSF 55.57
MUSE 43.64
MSLV 16.09
DALN 8.48
OSII 6.30

Given CKEY has Sales (TTM) of CDN $45 M * 0,672 = 30 M $ US
with 18.5 M shares * 13,50$ = 249.75 M $ US Market Cap

CKEY 8.33

So the valuation is just getting closer to the similar companies in Network Management.

Other things to consider, more coverage...

News from the Citizen. Eftia OSS from Ottawa just got another round in financing.

Eftia OSS lands $30M U.S.
Kristin Goff
The Ottawa Citizen

Eftia OSS Solutions, an Ottawa software company with explosive growth in its first three years, today grabbed $30 million U.S. in venture capital.

Coupled with recent management changes and the launch of new products, "it gives us the financials to fuel our growth," said Karna Gupta, chief marketing officer.

In two previous financings, Eftia landed $37 million U.S. The latest injection comes from four companies which have participated since Eftia's start. They are APAX Partners & Co. Ventures Ltd. of London and three U.S. companies, Spectrum Equity Investors, Argo Global Capital Inc., and Insight Capital Partners.

Eftia, which provides operations support system (OSS) software to telephone companies, started with 16 employees. It now has 430.

The company's software allows telecommunication companies to automate their back office, orders and other services. Eftia is selling into a rapidly growing market undergoing deregulation.

To access it, Eftia is launching a new product, Master.DSL, which, it says, is the first OSS "specifically designed" for digital subscriber line (DSL) systems.

The new system and an upgraded version of Master.

Scribe, are important to the company's growth, Mr. Gupta said.

Eftia recently named Steven Parker, formerly in charge of IBM's global telecommunications software solutions business, president and chief operating officer. Clark Hering, a senior investment banker at J.P. Morgan, was named chief operating officer.

Al Somji, who co-founded the company, is now chairman and chief executive officer.

CrossKeys and Eftia Deliver Broadband Solution Integrating Service Assurance and Provisioning

Alliance targets high growth CLEC market with automated solutions

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (April 6, 2000) - CrossKeys Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: CKEY; TSE: CKY) and Eftia OSS Solutions Inc. today announced that they will be jointly co-marketing and co-selling a software solution that makes service assurance and provisioning easier to deliver and more valuable to telecom service providers. Under the terms of the agreement, CrossKeys Resolve® performance management software will interface with Eftia's Master.Scribe® Suite of provisioning software.

Performance management and service provisioning are two key pieces of the operational support systems (OSS) puzzle critical to providing telecom services for businesses. Integrating these two systems means service providers can provision and assure services with one step, automate data flow between the two systems, and be more responsive to customer requests. These features enable service providers to free up staff from manual operations, and to improve revenue by offering superior services and customer experience with a faster time to market. In this alliance, CrossKeys and Eftia are especially targeting the new entrant service provider who is looking for a way to go to market quickly and compete against more established players.

"Partnering with a dynamic company such as CrossKeys can only reap significant rewards for our end-customers," said Al Somji, President and CEO of Eftia. "This joint solution is customer-driven, enabling telecom service providers worldwide to manage and report on both end-to-end and top-to-bottom aspects of their network performance more effectively."

Both companies have formed partnerships across the industry to complement their best-of-breed software and bring better value to their service provider customers. These partnerships link the various OSS services, meaning service providers can select the best vendor to set up telecom services (provisioning), ensure that the network can deliver them and that customers receive them (assurance), and then bill based on these services (billing).

"Forming alliances with leading companies like Eftia is one way CrossKeys is driving its strategy to be a consolidator within the industry," said Ian McLaren, President and CEO of CrossKeys. "Through our work with other vendors, we bring CrossKeys customer service and network analysis to reinforce provisioning systems, demonstrate quality of service and show our customers how to increase revenue by offering new services."
