To John and Gregory,
Excuse my utter ignorance here, but isn't this the kind of situation where fundamentals are far more likely as tea leave readings than TA? Thanks PoetTrader

Charts are used to figure out what's inside a black box. The black box is wide open since we all know there's about to be $50 billion worth of buying pressure on this stock. Who needs a friggin chart to figure it out?

Gregory and John;

I believe that you are not interpreting the candlesticks correctly. The Dragonfly doji yesterday is actually an indicator of the reversal of a bearish trend. However, this reversal indicator is only valid after several days of a downtrend. When it appears in an uptrend it is not indicative of a trend reversal to the downside. If anything, I would suggest that its appearance in an uptrend is generally bullish.

Its counterpart in an uptrend is the Gravestone doji. If this forms during an uptrend, lookout below, a downturn is likely.
