One more opinion for you can't hurt. It sounds like you are investing in a bunch of shiny pebbles, instead of high quality companies that have already arrived. The stocks that you've sold are all strong Kings. You sold dominating companies (SUNW/JDSU/NTAP) in the hottest sectors(networking/optical/storage) out there. Why??? Those are the companies that have the best risk/reward tradeoff, imo. Sounds like you are trying to make the grand slams, instead of the singles and doubles. Lastly, I would develop an investment style that your comfortable with and stick by it. Good luck.
