Before the Bell - Agilent tumbles
NEW YORK, July 21 (Reuters) - Shares in Agilent Technology Inc. (NYSE:A - news) tumbled in pre-opening trading on Friday after the test and measurement gear maker warned that its third-quarter earnings would be well below Wall Street forecasts.

Agilent was down at 55 on the Instinet electronic broker system from a Thursday close of 73.

Agilent said on Thursday that its third-quarter earnings would be 18 to 22 cents a share and sales also would bedisappointing. The Wall Street consensus estimate was for earnings of 35 cents a share.
