NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 21 2000--Universal Express, Inc.'s
(OTC:USXP) subsidiary The Postal Business Center Network.com
(www.pbcnetwork.com) announced today a joint venture with
eCheck2000.com. eCheck2000.com is an electronic check processing and
automatic debiting service that allows businesses to accept checks
from any U.S. bank. SCI, Inc. processes this settlement service
through the Federal Reserve.
The PBC Network, eCheck2000.com (www.echeck2000.com) joint
venture, will provide PBC Network Members with the opportunity to
verify a customer's check for both validity and money-availability, in
real-time and deposit the money electronically within 48 hours. PBC
Network members will also have the opportunity to make out-going
payments such as monthly bills and payroll through the eCheck2000.com
service.
"I believe this will benefit our national network through the time
and cost savings the automation service brings," said Mark Falk, PBC
Network's Managing Director. He went on to say, "PBC Network Members
can increase the speed in which money settles into their account while
decreasing the costs associated with revenue collection."

overhead through programs that will aid in their day to day business.
eCheck2000.com's check processing and out-going payment service will
provide stores with the opportunity to run their business more cost

SCI, Inc. is the actual processor of the checks and has partnered
with eCheck2000.com to bring this service to PBC Network members.
