Vinwood:

I haven't had any problem buying COMSV, but I haven't tried to sell any PALMV yet - I was tempted last Friday, but $41 wasn't quite enough (that old greed factor creeping in again!). I did unload some COMS options last Friday when COMS hit $74, but I bought them all back Tuesday.

The COMSV shares appear in my online account portfolios, but they haven't deducted the cash yet because the trades haven't settled! My broker says I can use the cash to trade between now and settlement day, but that it needs to be there when it's finally needed to settle the COMSV trades.

Sounds like your Dreyfus brokers either don't understand what can be done here, or they're just giving you the run around. Maybe you should print out a daily trading chart with the volumes for the last 8 sessions and fax it to them. About 31 million COMSV and 24 million PALMV so far - they're being traded with decent volume, even if Dreyfus doesn't know it.
